Illuminated Safety Optic
Pull Cable System
Designed for use in low-visibility, when disorienting conditions are present & in other hazardous locations
DESCRIPTION: The system is comprised of a positive feedback photo circuit through optical fibers in which a light is transmitted. The fiber optic photo circuit starts outside the equipment, runs into the interior of the equipment, through the safety pull-switch mechanisms and back outside of the equipment, to complete the circuit. A broken photo circuit results in disrupting the hazardous energy sources, thus stopping the machine. Immune to EMI, RFI, temperatures to 150 ͦC, condensing moisture and direct spray.
Functions with or without access to proprietary machine controls. Retrofit or factory equipment installations are easily accomplished. Does not interfere with the controls and programs of the equipment.
APPLICATIONS IN: Bulk Sterilizers, Rack Wash & Hospital Washer Equipment Vacuum & Air Handling System Bag Houses Confined Space Atmospheric Hazards: CO2, O2, Methane, etc. Explosive Environments Silos, Spray Dry Units
The Fiber Optic Safety Pull Cable System has been designed to withstand the rigors of high temperatures, steam pressure, vacuum and water encountered in bulk sterilizers and rack wash equipment. It is immune to potential interference or false triggering during normal course of operation.
Meets or exceeds the EU directives for opto-electric protective devices since the revisions to IEC 61496-1 (EN 61496-1) took effect in 2014.
